Compote of apples and pears
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make apple and pear compote for the winter? Prepare the ingredients for the compote according to the list. Choose pears and apples that are ripe, juicy and not wormy. You can use both sweet and sweet and sour varieties. The recipe is designed for two three-liter jars.
STEP 2
Wash the pears and apples well. It is not necessary to peel the fruit. Remove the core, seeds and stems from the fruit. Cut apples and pears into cubes or slices.
STEP 3
Place the chopped apples and pears equally into two clean and sterile three-liter jars.
STEP 4
Pour boiling water up to the neck into the jars of fruit, cover with lids and leave to steep for 15-20 minutes.
STEP 5
Drain the jars into a saucepan using a lid with holes. Cover the jars with metal lids. Add granulated sugar to the water and bring the syrup to a boil.
STEP 6
Pour boiling syrup into jars with pears and apples.
STEP 7
Seal jars of compote with sterile lids.
STEP 8
Turn over the jars of compote, wrap them warmly in a blanket and leave until completely cool. Store apple and pear compote in a cool, dark place. Good luck with your preparations!
