    STEP 1

How to make pizza from puff pastry dough in the oven? Very simple! Start by preparing the required ingredients according to the list and preparing the sauce. To speed up the process, you can use ready-made tomato pizza sauce or just ketchup, but with this homemade sauce it turns out much tastier. For other pizza sauce recipes, see the link below the recipe.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut the bell pepper into small cubes.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Cut the onion into small cubes.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Finely chop the garlic with a knife.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat and sauté the onion and garlic until the onion is soft, about 2-3 minutes.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Add bell peppers and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

    Add tomato paste and stir.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Pour in water, salt and pepper the sauce and stir. Simmer over low heat for 5-7 minutes. Finally, add sugar and chili on the tip of a knife. You don’t have to add chili at all, but in such an amount it won’t be very noticeable in the sauce, but will add a slight piquancy.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Transfer the sauce to a blender and blend until smooth. The sauce is ready.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Now start preparing the filling. In addition to the indicated ingredients for the filling, you can use other fillings to taste: boiled sausage, ham, mushrooms, olives, etc.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Cut the bell pepper into thin rings.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Also cut the sausage into thin slices. For pizza, I usually use sliced sausage. You can use boiled smoked sausage, like mine, or raw smoked sausage. Which one do you like best?

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Cut the tomatoes into thin slices. Choose tomatoes that are juicy but firm. Soft fruits do not hold their shape well; during the cutting and cooking process they will spread into a shapeless mass and spoil the appearance of the dish. The filling is ready.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Any cheese is suitable for this dish - hard, semi-hard, soft, such as mozzarella. The main thing is that it is tasty, of high quality, without milk fat substitutes and melts well.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

You can cut the olives into rings, halves, or leave them whole.

  16. STEP 16

    STEP 16

Thaw the dough first. The big advantage of this pizza is that the dough for it is store-bought, and you don’t need to waste time preparing homemade dough. But if you prefer homemade dough, you can choose a suitable recipe from the catalog below the recipe. If you have frozen dough, defrost it first.

  17. STEP 17

    STEP 17

Sprinkle the dough with flour and roll it out on a piece of parchment into a thin round cake 2-3 mm thick. If you want to get pizza with thick dough, take not 250, but 350-400 g of dough, without rolling it too thin. In a circle, stepping back 1 cm from the edge, use a pizza cutter to draw a circle on the dough. Prick the inside with a fork so that the dough does not swell during baking (I confess, I forgot to do this, but my dough did not swell even without pricking).

  18. STEP 18

    STEP 18

Brush the dough with the prepared sauce, being careful not to go beyond the outlined edges. Place the dough in an oven preheated to 200°C for about 5 minutes. During this time, the edges of the dough will slightly increase, forming sides. Determine the exact baking time and temperature based on your oven.

  19. STEP 19

    STEP 19

Place the filling of sausage, tomatoes, bell peppers and olives on the dough. Top the pizza with grated cheese. Return the pizza to the oven and bake at 180°C for about 10 minutes. Bon appetit!

I can confirm...puff pastry pizza turns out great! An ideal dish for a snack. I also make these puff rings. It can be with mushrooms, sausage, cheese, in a word, as your imagination dictates.

I love homemade dough, 🤔 although I’ve never used store-bought dough. I took the author’s advice and found a suitable and quick recipe for pizza dough using the link. I cut out an even circle using a frying pan lid, pressed it and the perfect circle was ready. I liked the sauce, which contained tomato paste, otherwise there was no ketchup, I thought it meant pizza, but it turns out you can use it with tomato paste, it’s even tastier. The filling goes well together. Delicious pizza made from puff pastry dough in the oven, classic!
