  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make classic oatmeal cookies according to USSR GOST? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Take the highest grade flour. Margarine can be replaced with butter. Personally, I often use margarine to make cookies. With creamy good margarine, cookies turn out tastier, and it is also cheaper. Raisins should be seedless. Remove margarine from the refrigerator 1-1.5 hours before. Instead of molasses, you can use honey or seedless jam.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

To remove the oil that is used to treat dried fruits before sale, pour hot, approximately 70°C, water over the raisins. Do not use boiling water; the raisins will cook in it. After 10 minutes, drain the water through a sieve and dry the raisins.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

If you don't have ready-made oat flour, make it from rolled oats. Simply grind the required amount in a coffee grinder or blender. By the time you start preparing the dough, the margarine should already be soft, but not spread. Place all ingredients except flour (both types), baking soda and water into a blender bowl.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Beat everything until smooth. If small pieces of raisins remain, it’s okay, it won’t affect the taste.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Transfer the resulting mass into a deep bowl with a rounded bottom, in which it is convenient to knead the dough. Grind it with a spoon.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Heat the water to 50 degrees. If you do not have a special cooking thermometer, you can get the desired water temperature as follows. Mix boiling water with ice boiled water in a 1:1 ratio. Add oatmeal and warm water to the dough. Mix well until smooth.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Sift the wheat flour to remove small debris and saturate it with oxygen. Place half of the flour into a bowl. Add baking soda and stir until it is evenly distributed throughout the dough. Since the properties of flour of the same type, but from different manufacturers, may differ, to obtain the desired consistency, add the remaining flour in small portions. The dough should turn out soft, tender, gather into a ball and not spread out.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Turn on the oven to preheat at 180 degrees. Divide the dough into 8 equal parts. Roll 2 balls from each.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Use a large baking tray for baking. Line it with parchment and distribute the dough balls evenly over it. Roll out each ball using a rolling pin or flatten it with the flat bottom of a glass to a dough thickness of 4-5 mm.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Bake cookies on the middle shelf of a preheated oven on top-bottom mode for 15-20 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees. Cooking time depends on the capabilities of your oven. Check the readiness of the cookies by their appearance; they should brown a little. Remove the finished cookies from the oven, cool and serve. Bon appetit!

I decided to bake something tasty for tea and turned to the recipe for classic oatmeal cookies according to USSR GOST with margarine. I prepared the dough in butter, using it instead of margarine, my husband just brought an inexpensive one from the store. Having cut off a piece, I weighed it, it turned out to be 20 grams more oil than needed according to the recipe, but I left everything as is. I made oatmeal by grinding the flakes in a blender. I used half as much sugar as in the recipe, but it turned out great, moderately sweet. The molasses was replaced with pear jam syrup. I did not add vanilla sugar and cinnamon. The dough turned out thick and soft. She took it with a teaspoon, formed balls the size of a walnut, put them on a baking sheet, flattened them, pressing the top a little with her fingers, and put them in the oven. She baked them until the cookies were browned. They turned out soft, tender, fragrant, and pleasant to the taste. , with a slightly noticeable taste of oatmeal. Thank you very much for the recipe!

Great recipe. On my own behalf, I recommend pouring boiling water over the oatmeal so as not to bother with the temperature, take it out and add it to the sugar-margarine mixture, I also added poppy seeds instead of cinnamon, it turned out excellent, instead of baking soda, baking powder accordingly
