STEP 1

How to make Chicken Salad with Prunes and Walnuts? Prepare your ingredients. Take a fresh, medium-sized fillet, preferably from the breast. A sweet and sour apple, for example, Simirenko or Granny Smith, is suitable. You can make mayonnaise for the salad yourself, it will be tastier and healthier. STEP 2

How to boil chicken fillet? Pour about 1.5 liters of water into a saucepan. When it boils, add salt (about 0.5 tbsp. salt) and send the chicken there. For taste, you can add black peppercorns (3-4 pieces) and bay leaf. Cook over low heat, covered, until tender (approximately 20 minutes after boiling). If the fillet can be easily pierced with a knife, it is ready. Cool without removing from the broth to prevent the meat from drying out. Cut into small pieces.
STEP 3

Boil hard-boiled eggs (after boiling for 8-10 minutes). Fill with cold water and cool. Peel the shells and chop finely.
STEP 4

Rinse the prunes and cut into small pieces. If it is dry and hard, first pour boiling water over it and leave for 10 minutes. Then drain the water, dry the dried fruits with paper towels and finely chop. Also finely chop the peeled walnuts with a knife. The kernels can be crushed (not very finely) in a blender or poured into a bag and crushed with a rolling pin.
STEP 5

Wash, dry and peel a medium-sized apple. Grate it on a coarse grater. Grate the hard cheese on a medium-sized grater. Place all ingredients in separate containers.
STEP 6

How to form a salad? Place a cooking ring (about 18 cm in diameter) on a flat plate. Place the fillet in the first layer and brush it with mayonnaise. Spread the prunes evenly in a second layer. Mayonnaise again. Next are eggs and mayonnaise. Apple - mayonnaise. Cheese - mayonnaise. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top of the salad. Mayonnaise can be transferred to a cooking bag and a mayonnaise mesh applied to each layer.
STEP 7

Before serving, place the salad in the refrigerator for 1 hour to soak. Then, carefully, so as not to destroy the structure, remove the culinary ring. You can decorate with fresh herbs (dill, parsley), dried fruits. Serve. Bon appetit!
