And in general, this recipe is great for any part of the chicken, not just the legs. Choose seasonings and spices to taste. You can use ready-made chicken seasoning, it goes well with chicken curry.

    Wash the chicken legs, dry them, and place them in a bowl. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and spices. Mix well. You can leave the chicken in this form for some time so that it is saturated with aromas and salt. But you can cook it right away.

    Take a baking dish and place the chicken legs in it.

    Clean the mushrooms from dirt. It is better not to wash them, because mushrooms absorb water like a sponge, which causes their taste to deteriorate. You can only lightly rinse the mushrooms under the tap if they are very dirty. Cut the mushrooms into small pieces.

    Place the mushrooms in the pan with the chicken.

    Mix sour cream and cream until smooth. You can add garlic or finely chopped herbs to the resulting sauce.

    Pour the resulting sauce over the chicken and mushrooms. Use a spoon to spread the sauce throughout the pan. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Bake the legs with mushrooms for 30-40 minutes.

    While the chicken is baking, grate the cheese. Whether small or large, it doesn’t matter.

    Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle grated cheese on top. Return to the oven and bake for another 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown. Serve the finished dish to the table with or without a side dish. Bon appetit!

I prepared chicken legs with mushrooms in the oven according to this recipe. Only at the end it completely slipped my mind to sprinkle with cheese) I marinated the chicken legs, rinsed them in paprika, chicken seasoning and salted them. For the sauce, I mixed cream, sour cream, chopped garlic, salt and pepper. I took frozen mushrooms; I had boiled boletus in the freezer, which we collected in the fall. I also added a head of onion, cutting it into half rings. I put everything in a baking dish and poured the sauce over it. Bake in the oven, covered with foil, for 40 minutes. Then I removed the foil and browned the dish. It came out very aromatic and tasty. I served the appetizing legs with buttermilk with boiled buckwheat once, and the second time with mashed potatoes, topped with yushka. And so, so delicious. Mushrooms with onions are very soft and juicy. The chicken legs turned out tender and tasty. Great recipe! No hassle! Many thanks to the author 😊

I got something so yummy! The chicken with mushrooms was very generously covered in sauce, because everyone in my family loves it very much. The aroma in the kitchen was amazing!
