Chicken legs in sauce in the oven

These delicious legs are a godsend for chicken lovers. A long time ago I baked a whole chicken using this recipe. It turned out to have a delicious crust and soft meat. When I decided to bake the drumsticks, I remembered this recipe and again prepared the sauce that I liked so much then.

    Prepare your ingredients. The legs for this recipe are suitable either chilled or frozen. Thanks to the sauce, they will become soft and tender in any case. Frozen legs must first be thawed (best on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator). Wash the drumsticks and dry with paper towels.

    Prepare the sauce. In a deep container, combine honey, mustard, vegetable oil, lemon juice, paprika and salt.

    Whisk until smooth. If the honey is not runny, it's okay, it will disperse while beating. Or you can warm the honey a little.

    Place the chicken legs into the resulting sauce and mix well so that the sauce is evenly distributed over the chicken. Leave to marinate for 30-40 minutes.

    Transfer the legs to a baking dish and pour the remaining sauce over the top.

    Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for about 40 minutes. During baking, periodically turn the legs over and pour sauce from the bottom of the pan. The finished legs will be browned on top, and when pierced with a knife, clear juice will flow out. Remove the finished legs from the oven and serve with any side dish.

Chicken legs decorate any table) And how children love them, and adults will not refuse. I prepared these legs for the holiday table. After reading the composition of the marinade, their taste somehow presented itself. I love chicken combined with the sweetness of honey. For the marinade, I had to melt the honey a little, but it’s the taste that’s important here) I used half as much mustard, my homemade mustard is spicy. All other additives are on the list. The marinade turned out to be a little sticky and coats the shins well. I baked it for half an hour, after which the legs were completely ready. During the baking process, I applied the marinade to the drumsticks several times with a silicone brush so that they would be better browned and soaked in juice. The legs turned out just super tasty! They are rosy, beautiful, and look very appetizing. The kids also liked the sweet taste. The sour-spicy taste is also felt a little. But this whole bouquet is very harmonious. These legs were the first to leave the table) Excellent marinade, I’ll definitely remember it, or better yet, write it down. Thanks for the recipe!
