STEP 1

How to bake chicken in sour cream sauce in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. You can use any part of the chicken. I'll cook chicken thighs. The onion can be either red (like mine) or regular onion. Any mushrooms will do - it will still be delicious in its own way. You can take champignons or wild mushrooms. I use wild mushrooms that have been pre-cooked in boiling water for 25 minutes. Take sour cream with 15-20% fat content.
STEP 2

For sour cream sauce, mix prepared sour cream with salt and spices. There is a wide range of spices that go with the chicken. Therefore, be guided by your taste. I use a little curry, dried basil, ground black pepper and some red pepper.
STEP 3

Rinse the chicken thighs under running water and dry them well with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Then coat the chicken with the resulting sour cream marinade.
STEP 4

For baking, take any heat-resistant form. It can be metal, ceramics or glass. Grease the bottom and sides of the pan with a small amount of vegetable oil and lay out the chicken thighs. Place prepared mushrooms and onions on top, previously peeled and cut into half rings. If you use champignons, they must be washed, peeled and cut into 2-3 pieces.
STEP 5

Top everything with the remaining sour cream sauce. Cover the pan with a sheet of foil and place in the oven, preheated to 190 degrees, for 50-60 minutes. Be guided by your oven. About 15 minutes before the end of baking, remove the sheet of foil and leave the chicken to brown the top a little.
STEP 6

Remove the finished dish from the oven. You can serve it immediately in the form in which the chicken was baked or put it on prepared plates.
