STEP 1

How to cook chicken in a duck roaster? Prepare the necessary ingredients. I usually divide the chicken into 3 parts: the back - into the broth, the fillet - into chops or minced meat, and I bake the drumsticks, thighs and wings in the oven. These parts of the chicken are ideal for the oven - thanks to the skin, they will always remain juicy on the inside and golden brown on the outside.

Transfer the chicken pieces to a suitable container. Salt and pepper the chicken.
STEP 3

Add suneli hops or other spices to taste.
STEP 4

Pass the garlic through a press.
STEP 5

Add a little vegetable oil so that the spices release their aroma better.
STEP 6

Mix everything well and leave for a while while you work on the vegetables. During this time, the meat will marinate a little.
STEP 7

Prepare the ingredients you will need for the next step. Wash and peel the potatoes and onions.
STEP 8

Cut the potatoes as desired, I cut them into cubes.
STEP 9

Transfer the potatoes to the roaster.
STEP 10

Cut the onion into quarter rings.
STEP 11

Transfer the onions to the potatoes in the duck pot.
STEP 12

Add some salt.

For the sauce, mix sour cream (full-fat is best) and ketchup (or tomato paste).
STEP 14

Pour the resulting sauce over the potatoes.
STEP 15

Mix well.
STEP 16

Place chicken pieces on top.
STEP 17

Pour in a little water, cover with a lid and place in the oven at 200-220 degrees for 30 minutes. Then reduce the heat to 180 degrees and cook for another 40 minutes. Refer to the timing of your oven and check the readiness of the dish periodically.
STEP 18

15 minutes before it’s ready, remove the chicken pot, remove the lid and bake the remaining time without the lid until the chicken is browned.
STEP 19

After 15 minutes, remove from the oven - our dish is ready!
