  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make shish kebab from catfish? Prepare your food. Boneless catfish fillet is best; if you have a whole fish, then fillet it yourself. Olive oil can be replaced with any vegetable oil.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the fish, dry it, remove any bones if necessary. Cut into medium pieces. Too large ones will start to burn, and small ones will turn out dry.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Prepare the marinade. How to make a marinade? Rinse the lemon with hot water - this way it will best release its juice. For the same purpose, roll it several times with pressure on the table. Squeeze the juice from the lemon, being careful not to get any seeds in it. Mix lemon juice with soy sauce and olive oil until smooth. The marinade is ready. If you wish, you can add any herbs to your taste, spices, as well as onions or garlic to the marinade.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour the prepared marinade over the fish pieces and leave for 1-3 hours. There is enough salt in soy sauce, so we won’t add salt to the kebab.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

While the kebab is marinating, light the wood in the grill and bring it to coals. I recommend using high-quality firewood for cooking on the grill, preferably birch.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Thread the pieces of fish onto skewers and place them on the grill to fry. You can also use a grill grate and cook shish kebab on it. Choose from what you have available.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Catfish is a fish that cooks very quickly. Fry for 2-3 minutes on one side and then turn the skewers over to the other side. In total, cooking will take about 20-25 minutes.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Serve the finished catfish kebab with fresh herbs and seasonal vegetables. Bon appetit!
