Cake with poppy seeds, raisins and sour cream
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
Let's prepare the ingredients. The ingredients indicate the amount of products per cake. Therefore, to prepare three cake layers, we increase the quantity three times. We will immediately prepare the dough fillings. We will add raisins to one cake, walnuts to the second, and poppy seeds to the third.
STEP 2
Wash the raisins thoroughly and pour boiling water over them, allowing them to swell. Rinse again and dry on a paper towel.
STEP 3
We wash or steam the poppy seeds if they are not ready for baking. Dry well.
STEP 4
We wash the walnuts well and dry them in the microwave. One minute on medium power is enough for the nuts to dry and become crispy.
STEP 5
We are preparing biscuits. Using a blender, beat two eggs with sugar (120g) into a thick, strong foam.
STEP 6
Add baking soda slaked with vinegar.
STEP 7
Add sifted flour. Gently stir the dough with a spoon so that it does not settle.
STEP 8
Roll the raisins in a plate with flour so that the dough does not become damp. Place the raisins in the dough and gently stir in so that they are distributed evenly throughout the dough.
STEP 9
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Spoon the dough into a greased pan and place it in the oven for 25 minutes, relying on how your oven works. Check the readiness of the biscuit with a wooden toothpick. After exiting, it should be dry.
STEP 10
Meanwhile, finely chop the walnuts with a knife or simply crumble them with your hands; once dried, they break easily.
STEP 11
When the biscuit is baked, let it cool slightly in the mold and remove it.
STEP 12
If the biscuit has grown unevenly, cut off its “head”.
STEP 13
We prepare the dough for the second cake in the same way as the first, only we use poppy seeds as an additive.
STEP 14
Bake, cool.
STEP 15
We also prepare a third sponge cake with chopped walnuts.
STEP 16
While the cakes are cooling, prepare the sour cream. Beat sour cream with sugar and vanilla until the mass increases in volume and thickens. It is better to use richer and thicker sour cream.
STEP 17
Assembling the cake. Grease each cake with sour cream and place on top of each other. We also coat the top and sides with sour cream. Let it sit in the refrigerator for a while until the cream hardens.
STEP 18
Sprinkle grated milk chocolate on top, or you can decorate it according to your taste and desire. Let the cake soak and serve. Enjoy your tea!
