Caesar salad with cheese, tomatoes, chicken and croutons
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make Caesar salad with tomatoes, chicken and croutons? Prepare all products according to the list. Wash vegetables, eggs, lemon. And dry them with napkins. Clean the chicken fillet from films, wash and dry. If necessary, you can replace Parmesan with any other hard cheese. Take small tomatoes, but cherry ones are better.
STEP 2
Boil chicken eggs hard. I cooked it just in case 2. Fill the eggs in a ladle with cold water, add salt, cover with a lid and put the ladle on the fire. When the water boils, time it for 9 minutes. After boiling water, drain and pour cold water over the eggs to make them easier to peel. Peel the egg. We don't need the white, but we'll use the boiled yolk for the sauce.
STEP 3
Rub the chicken with dry spices without salt. Brush the chicken with olive oil. Heat a frying pan on the stove without oil. Place the chicken fillet in a dry frying pan and fry it for 2-3 minutes on one side. Then turn over and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side. Times are approximate. The meat should brown and remain juicy, but not raw inside.
STEP 4
Transfer the fried chicken fillet to a napkin to cool and add salt. The meat is very juicy and loses almost no weight with this method of frying. And, most importantly, it is fat-free.
STEP 5
You can use fresh or yesterday’s bread for croutons. I like it better with fresh. You can also use store-bought crackers to suit your taste.
STEP 6
Cut the bread into cubes, sprinkle them with just a little vegetable oil, sprinkle with spices and mix. Pour the crackers into a hot frying pan and fry for 3-5 minutes, stirring. Make sure that the crackers are dry and slightly golden brown.
STEP 7
Cut the cooled fried chicken neatly and beautifully - into cubes, slices or strips - as you like.
STEP 8
Place all the ingredients for the sauce in one container: mustard, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, chopped garlic. Add the boiled yolk.
STEP 9
Stir the sauce. It thickens before our eyes. If your yolk is too thick, mash it with a fork or spoon. This sauce turns out beautiful and aromatic, suitable for any meat, gratin or other salads.
STEP 10
Let's start collecting the salad. Tear the lettuce leaves with your hands and place them on a plate or in a salad bowl as the first layer.
STEP 11
Grate hard cheese on top using a fine or medium grater.
STEP 12
Pour the sauce over everything and add croutons.
STEP 13
Chop the tomatoes. I have it in rings, you can cut it in half, quarters or cubes. Place the tomatoes in a circle in the salad. Place chicken pieces in the center and pour in a little more sauce. If the sauce is thick, thin it with oil. Caesar salad with tomatoes, chicken and croutons is ready - and you don’t have to be a chef at a famous restaurant for this!
