STEP 1
How to make bulgur pilaf with chicken? Prepare all the products listed on the list. Chicken breast can be replaced with any meat, but the cooking time will increase slightly.
STEP 2
Rinse the breast and dry it with paper towels to remove any remaining liquid. Cut the meat into small portions of the same size.
STEP 3
Peel the onions, garlic and carrots. Rinse all vegetables in clean water.
STEP 4
Cut the carrots into small cubes, the onion into cubes, and pass the garlic through a press or chop it with a knife.
STEP 5
Cut the tomatoes into small random pieces. If desired, peel the tomatoes first; I usually don’t do this.
STEP 6
Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan with a thick bottom and high edges. Send the chicken pieces to fry. To prepare bulgur pilaf, you can use a cauldron or a frying pan with high edges.
STEP 7
After frying for 5-10 minutes, add carrots, onions and garlic to the chicken. Fry, stirring occasionally for another 7-10 minutes.
STEP 8
Add tomatoes to meat. Salt everything to taste, pepper and leave for another 5 minutes. At this stage, you can use your favorite spices or a ready-made pilaf seasoning mixture.
STEP 9
Pour some boiling water into the pan (half a glass will be enough). Cover with a lid, reduce heat to moderate and simmer everything together for 15-20 minutes.
STEP 10
Rinse the bulgur several times until the water is clean. Spread the cereal in an even layer over the pan. Wash the head of garlic and insert it into the middle (optional).
STEP 11
Add boiling water so that it covers the cereal by one and a half to two fingers.
STEP 12
Cook with the lid closed over low heat until the cereal is cooked through. This will take you 20 to 25 minutes.
STEP 13
Delicious bulgur pilaf with chicken is ready!
