Buckwheat with potatoes
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make lean buckwheat with potatoes? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. You can change the proportions of buckwheat and potatoes a little to your taste. Peel the potatoes in advance and rinse them in running water to remove dirt.
STEP 2
First of all, set the buckwheat to boil. Rinse the cereal several times in cold water. Then drain all the water from it. Place buckwheat in a saucepan. Fill with cold water in a ratio of 1:2. Place on the fire, bring to a boil and cook over low heat, covered, for about 15 minutes. During this time, the buckwheat will increase in size, become soft and absorb all the water.
STEP 3
Keep the finished buckwheat open to allow excess steam to escape. The buckwheat will become crumbly.
STEP 4
Peel the onions and carrots. Rinse. Finely chop the onion and grate the carrots.
STEP 5
Pour a little vegetable oil into a hot frying pan and add the prepared vegetables. Fry onions and carrots for 2-3 minutes.
STEP 6
Cut the peeled potatoes into small cubes and place in a frying pan with the vegetables. Stir. Cook everything together for 15-20 minutes. The potatoes should become soft. Salt it a little. Can be cooked covered.
STEP 7
When the potatoes become soft, add boiled buckwheat to it.
STEP 8
Mix everything and heat for another 2-3 minutes.
STEP 9
Lenten buckwheat with potatoes is ready! Serve hot. This is a delicious stand-alone dish or a healthy side dish for meat. Bon appetit!
