  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Let's prepare the products. Currants can be taken either fresh or frozen. If you have a frozen one, like me, then take it out of the cold in advance so that the berries soften a little. It is not necessary to defrost completely. Take only good quality water for fruit drinks, either bottled or filtered; the quality of the drink depends on its taste. Adjust the amount of sugar to your taste.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

We wash the berries under running water. If your currants are frozen and were washed before freezing, then skip this step. Place the washed berries in a sieve or colander to drain off excess water.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour the finished berries into the container in which the fruit juice will be cooked. Cover them with sugar.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Using a potato masher or any other convenient device, mash the berries. You don't have to puree them, just let them crush a little and release the juice.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Pour boiling water over the currants. To do this, I set the prepared water to boil in a kettle; while it was boiling, I mashed the berries. Mix.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place the dishes on the fire and bring to a boil, but under no circumstances boil! We wait for the first bubbles and turn off the heating. This way we will retain maximum benefits in the finished drink.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Now we need to strain the fruit drink through a sieve. Don’t throw away the remaining cake, you can also make fruit juice with it, just use less water.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Fruit juice can be consumed both hot and cold. We prefer a cold drink. It's good to drink hot when you have a cold. Bon appetit!

For hot weather, currant juice is just what you need! Sour, cool, healthy. A quick and easy recipe! Thanks to the author for the advice not to bring the broth to a boil, thanks to which all valuable vitamins and microelements remain safe and sound. That’s what I did, and to make the drink even healthier, instead of sugar, I added honey to taste to the already cooled fruit drink. The family drank it quickly, tomorrow I’ll make currant juice again!

I paid attention to the recipe for blackcurrant juice because I know that it is very useful for colds. We just need vitamins, so I prepared this healing drink) I used to think that fruit juice was no different from ordinary compote, because the products are the same. But after trying the fruit drink, it became clear that it was just heaven and earth. After all, fruit juice is cooked for a very short time, which gives it the taste of natural berries, not boiled ones. I had frozen currants and to mash them with sugar, I doused the berries with hot water. Then poured boiling water over it and brought it to a boil. The process is very fast! And the taste was very surprising, like fresh juice! The ratio of liquid to sugar is perfect for my taste, moderately sweet. And the aroma of summer berries takes you far from the “cold season” on hot sunny days) Thanks for the recipe for the vitamin drink!
