  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make cherry liqueur with vodka? Prepare your ingredients. The amount of cherries and vodka is indicated approximately (we need enough to fill a three-liter jar). The amount of sugar will depend on the yield of infused vodka and your taste. So we take the cherries and wash them.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

We take a glass jar, I have a three-liter one. Fill it up to the shoulders with cherries. And fill it with vodka. I take vodka not 40 degrees, but somewhere around 38-39. Then it will be softer. Cover with a lid and place in a dark place for 2 weeks.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

In two weeks it will become this color.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Let's drain our vodka. We measure the resulting quantity. Pour it into a bottle and put it away for now. Measure out the sugar for the remaining cherries. Approximate proportion: for 1 liter of vodka - 200 grams of sugar. I ended up with 1.2 liters of infused vodka, so I measured out 300 grams of sugar. But you can add less or more (up to 800 grams per three-liter jar), it all depends on how much you like sweet drinks and the acidity or sweetness of the berries.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Pour sugar into a jar with cherries.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Close the cherries with sugar and put them back in a dark place for 2 weeks. Cherries need to be shaken sometimes.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

In two weeks the cherries will give juice.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

We drain our juice. The cherries left over from the liqueur can be safely used in baking: for making pies, muffins, and homemade chocolates.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

And now we take out our first drained vodka, mix it with juice. That's all. We made a delicious liqueur. At this stage, you can taste it and, if necessary, add a little sugar. Then we bottle it. Bon appetit!

I also liked the photo and the recipe! It’s captivating that it was filmed step-by-step, which means you prepared it and know exactly the subtleties. Esenija, the pits are not removed from cherries, they do not give bitterness or astringency? I'm looking for a recipe for the season.

I do it differently, though not with vodka but with alcohol, and the whole point here is that the alcohol should be 70 grams, in this case it better absorbs the aroma and taste of cherries. I fill a 3-liter jar a third with cherries and fill it with alcohol. And let it sit for 2-3 months.

Attention! I’ll share a little trick in a similar recipe) “Peter 1” liqueur: For 5 kg of cherries, pour 5 liters of good moonshine at 50 degrees. Let it sit for two weeks. Pour into a container until time “hour.” Add 2 kg of HONEY to the cherries. Let it sit for two weeks. Pour into the same container) Pour 2.5 liters of spring water Costs two weeks Time “H” has arrived, mix all the liquids and squeeze the cherries through gauze, throw out the cake, filter the liqueur and bottle it. The deliciousness is incredible! And six months later the taste is even more interesting! That’s it! We don’t drink, we heal! Not with teaspoons, but with tea glasses)))
