STEP 1

How to bake banana charlotte with bananas in the oven? Prepare the necessary products. For baking, choose very ripe bananas with spots - they are sweeter and more aromatic. Turn on the oven to 190 degrees in advance.
STEP 2

Beat the eggs into a bowl, add sugar and start beating them with a mixer. You only need to beat at low speeds so that all the air bubbles that form are the same size. Bubbles that are too large will burst during baking and the dough will not rise.
STEP 3

Beat eggs with sugar until the mixture doubles in volume.
STEP 4

Add baking powder to the flour and stir. Sift flour into eggs. Don't skip this step - sifting additionally enriches the dough with oxygen, which makes the baked goods soft and airy.
STEP 5

Gently mix the dough with a spatula, preferably a silicone one, as it will not damage the whipped structure of the eggs. It is necessary to achieve complete homogeneity of the dough. It should turn out like thick sour cream.
STEP 6

Peel the bananas and cut into even circles about 1 cm thick. Grease a baking dish with a small piece of butter. Pour half the batter into the pan and smooth it out with a spatula.
STEP 7

Place some of the bananas on the dough layer, covering it completely.
STEP 8

Pour the remaining half of the batter over the bananas and smooth out. Place remaining bananas on top.
STEP 9

Bake the charlotte in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for about 40-45 minutes. The exact time depends on the features of your oven. You can determine readiness with a toothpick - insert it into the center of the charlotte and immediately remove it. The toothpick should remain dry. Remove the charlotte from the oven, let it cool slightly and remove it from the mold. Serve the charlotte warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The top can be sprinkled with powdered sugar.
