  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake whole potatoes in foil in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients. I used 5 large potato tubers. Peel the potatoes and rinse in cold water. Make 3-4 transverse cuts on each tuber until about halfway through. If the potatoes are young, then you don’t need to peel them; it will be enough to wash them well. Preheat the oven to maximum temperature. For me it's 250 degrees.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Place the potatoes in a bowl, pour vegetable oil over them and sprinkle with salt. Try to make sure that a little oil and salt gets into the cuts, so the potatoes will be salted from the inside. Peel the garlic, pass through a press, add to the potatoes and mix everything well. At this stage, you can add seasonings to your taste, such as rosemary, black pepper, etc. I did not add anything.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Unfold the roll of foil and cut rectangular sheets of the same size as the number of tubers so that you can wrap the potatoes without leaving any gaps. Place the potatoes in the middle of a sheet greased with vegetable oil and roll the foil into a bag. Prepare all the tubers in the same way.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Place the potatoes wrapped in foil in a baking dish (I used a ceramic one) and place in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

After 35 minutes, unwrap the potatoes and return them to the oven to brown. If this is not important to you, then you can skip this step. The total baking time for potatoes in the oven is about 45 minutes. However, the exact time depends on the type of potato (some varieties take longer to cook, some faster), as well as on the operating characteristics of your oven. The finished potatoes should be easily pierced with a knife.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Melt the butter in the microwave or in a water bath. Wash the dill, dry and finely chop.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Remove the finished potatoes from the mold, place in a deep dish, pour in butter and sprinkle with dill. Bon appetit!

Baked potatoes in foil in the oven - a simple dish, but very tasty! I decided not to wrap the potatoes separately, but to make a “chest” like this). I placed the prepared tubers on a baking sheet and packed them tightly in foil. First, I made some cuts on the potatoes and rubbed them with aromatic oil. To do this, I added paprika, turmeric, curry, a mixture of ground peppers and a pinch of thyme to odorless vegetable oil. I placed a clove of garlic on each tuber and a couple of sprigs of parsley on top. It seems to me that potatoes are like a blank canvas; you can flavor them with different spices and get new tastes). Bake for 35 minutes, then remove the foil from above and bake under the grill for 15 minutes. The potatoes were golden on top, and there were also red specks of paprika - beautiful, I liked it. The potatoes are very aromatic, tasty, tender! It went perfectly as a side dish with pork.

Sometimes you want some simple food without any frills, and this is just the recipe for every day! It’s very easy to prepare, no crusts, and it turns out delicious. I made my own adjustments to this recipe. Instead of regular-sized potatoes, I took baby potatoes, I've been really loving them lately, and I baked the potatoes in the oven at a lower temperature. Otherwise, I followed the recipe. The potatoes turned out just right! Thank you very much for such a simply good recipe.
