Baked apples with cottage cheese in the oven

STEP 1

Prepare apples for baking, cottage cheese of any fat content (depending on the dietary level of the dish), sugar, and some raisins. The apples must be winter, of ideal quality, smooth, without wormholes or spots, preferably green, with a thick skin and not too sweet.
STEP 2

Mash the cottage cheese with a fork; if it is a little dry, you can add a little sour cream or melted butter. Add sugar and grind thoroughly. You can add a little honey if desired, vanilla sugar, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ground ginger.
STEP 3

Add raisins washed in hot water and dried to the curd filling. Stir.
STEP 4

Wash the apples and carefully cut off the tops. Very carefully, so as not to damage or puncture the peel, remove the core and some of the pulp to create a defined area for the filling.
STEP 5

Fill the cavities tightly with the curd mixture.
STEP 6

Cover with lids and place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for about half an hour.
STEP 7

The apples should wrinkle slightly and become soft; some juice and syrup may be released. The finished baked apples with cottage cheese must be removed, cooled and served. You can supplement the dish with chopped nuts, mint or lemon balm leaves, pour over chocolate topping, and dust with powdered sugar.
