Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 10 mins
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Hard-boil chicken eggs in advance (8-10 minutes after boiling). Fill them with cold water and leave to cool. How to choose the right avocado? For salads, Florida avocados or the Pinkerton variety are suitable, but it’s better not to take the Californian variety. This avocado is too soft and does not hold its shape when cut, which will ruin the appearance of the dish. When purchasing, press the surface of the fruit with your finger; if a dent remains, it means the fruit is overripe.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Use a spoon to pry out the skin and scoop out the pulp. If the avocado is ripe, this will not be difficult to do.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Leave the peel boats whole, as we will need them later.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Peel the cooled eggs from their shells and cut them in half.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place the avocado pulp in a blender, pour in lemon juice so that the flesh does not darken and a pleasant sourness appears in the taste.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Add peeled eggs to the pulp and chop. If you don't have a blender, you can grate all the ingredients on a fine grater or even mash them with a fork.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

The result is a homogeneous mass.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

    Add mayonnaise (preferably homemade).

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

    Add a little salt.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Add the garlic cloves passed through a press.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

    Season with ground black pepper.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Mix the contents and voila - our avocado paste is ready. If you manage to leave the boats intact, fill them with the prepared paste.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Serve avocado paste with croutons or toasted bread, with slices of fresh soft loaf. Bon appetit!

Sandwiches with this pasta are very tasty. And there is another option. Avocados do not need to be ground into a paste.

I saw avocado paste for sandwiches in the feed on the website and wanted to make it. Moreover, I haven’t eaten avocado for a long time. I boiled eggs. Place eggs, avocado pulp, lemon juice and a clove of garlic into a blender bowl. I crushed everything. Added ground black pepper and mayonnaise and mixed well. Spread the paste on the loaf. It turned out to be a tasty and nutritious snack. The taste of the paste is neutral and soft. The color turned out closer to yellow, maybe because the avocado was almost completely yellowish. I’ll take note of this recipe!

nasstin, interesting pasta you made! What can this taste be compared to? The boats look original, just add a parsley leaf on top like a sail and you can sail to the festive table. Thanks for the tips of boiling the egg with salt to make it easier to peel and using lemon to prevent the avocado from browning. Thanks for the recipe!

Irochka, I don’t even know what to compare it with) It’s somewhat similar to a Jewish salad, because avocado has practically no taste, at least not a pronounced one - so there’s room for your imagination)
