  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make assorted compote for the winter? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. For compote, take hard apples. Inspect them carefully for damage. Choose whole fruits. Wash apples to remove dirt in running water. Cut each into 4 pieces and remove the core. Place the chopped apples in a clean 2-liter jar. Read the articles at the end of this recipe for useful tips on homemade preparations.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash chokeberries, red currants and strawberries thoroughly in running water. Add clean berries to the jar with the apples. First wash the jar in running water and soda and sterilize it. To do this, place the still wet jar upside down on a cold oven rack. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees and sterilize a 2 liter jar for 20 minutes. Wash the lid and boil. You can also sterilize the jar in the microwave or steam.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Fill the entire contents of the jar with boiling water to the very top. Cover with a lid and let stand for 15 minutes. During this time, all contents will warm up.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Then pour all the liquid from the jar into the pan, leaving all the berries in the jar. Add sugar to the pan and put it on the fire. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring the future compote for 2-3 minutes until all the sugar is well dissolved.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Fill the entire contents of the jar with boiling syrup again. Pour the syrup all the way to the top so that there is no empty space left. Close the compote with an airtight lid.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Turn the closed compote upside down. This way the container is checked for leaks. There should be no syrup oozing anywhere. It should be dry. Wrap the inverted jars in a blanket and cool as is.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Store the cooled delicious berry and fruit compote in a cool place for long-term storage. This compote will delight you and your whole family on cold, winter evenings. Enjoy your treat!

I really wanted a summer and refreshing drink. The child picked some red currants and strawberries, I didn’t know where to use them. I found a recipe on my favorite website for making assorted compote for the winter. I was interested in the combination of ingredients. I decided to make a drink not for the winter, but for testing. I prepared 1 liter of assorted compote from red currants, strawberries and apples, no rowan yet. It's very easy to cook. I put the berries in a saucepan, added granulated sugar, added water and cooked for 5 minutes from the moment of boiling. The aroma is amazing! The compote cooled and poured into glasses. The color turned out very beautiful - pink. And this compote tastes magical! The compote from this recipe turned out wonderful, not cloying, rich and mega tasty! Now I’ll roll it up for the winter) I advise everyone to try this unique compote! Thanks a lot to the author!

I’ve never tried to roll compotes myself. I just saw my mom do it. Recently we needed to process and somehow prepare a huge amount of berries that had grown in our garden. I was looking for all kinds of recipes on the Internet and came across this one. Very helpful, thank you. We'll drink in the winter. I added it to my cookbook in the “Drinks” section. In general, they came up with an excellent service. Tired of opening your favorite recipes from bookmarks. I have such confusion there, there are too many of them. It takes half an hour to find the right recipe. For a long time I have been missing a site like this, where your favorite dishes can be structured into folders: salads, soups, main dishes, etc.
