STEP 1
How to make jam with apples and lemon? Prepare all ingredients. You can take any apples, sour or sweet, soft or hard. Wash all fruits well and dry.

Peel the apples.

Cut the apples into slices and remove the core, seeds and tails. You can chop the fruit even smaller if you wish.
STEP 4
Place the chopped apples in a wide bowl, sprinkle with sugar and shake well so that each slice is coated with sugar. Cover the basin with a towel or lid and leave for two days in a dark and cool place. During this time, periodically check the apples and stir them. We want them to produce plenty of juice. If this happened before two days, proceed to the next step.
STEP 5
After two days, my apples gave juice and darkened, this is normal.
STEP 6
Grate the zest from a washed lemon using a fine grater. We need 1 tablespoon of zest.
STEP 7
Also grate the zest from a washed orange. You will need 2 tablespoons.
STEP 8
Place the bowl of apples on the stove and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and cook for 10 minutes, stirring and skimming if necessary.
STEP 9
5 minutes before the end of cooking, add lemon and orange zest to the jam and stir.
STEP 10
Still hot jam can be rolled into jars. To do this, first sterilize the jars in any way convenient for you. Boil the lids in water for about 7-10 minutes.
STEP 11
This apple jam is ideal both as a filling for pies and as an addition to tea.
