Rice with carrots and onions
To make delicious rice with carrots and onions, it is better to follow some useful tips and tricks. Each of them corresponds to a specific type of dish. So, for a salad, it is enough to boil the first two ingredients, and cut the third raw. As a side dish for meat dishes, you can boil rice, fry carrots and onions, then mix everything. Or you can stew vegetables together with cereal, which in the end will turn out even tastier.
The easiest way to cook rice with carrots and onions is this (it is understood that in this case we are preparing a dish like pilaf, but without meat and mushrooms). Here the order of adding products is the same as in pilaf. First, fry the onion. Then add grated carrots to it. Fill with water, add rice. The liquid should cover the food on your finger. Cover everything with a lid and simmer over low heat until fully cooked or until all the water has boiled away. For faster cooking, it is recommended to use instant rice (Jasmine is suitable).
The end result is an ideal side dish and a complete dish for vegetarians: satisfying but low in calories. Don't forget, of course, about salt, spices and oil. You can cook it in a frying pan, in a saucepan, in a slow cooker, in an oven, in a cauldron, in a wok. You can supplement and enrich it with a whole range of ingredients, including: tomatoes, mushrooms, chicken, pork, eggs, seafood, corn, garlic.
