Pies with cottage cheese

To prepare cottage cheese pies, you can knead dough: yeast, unleavened, puff pastry, butter. The pies can be either baked or fried (there are steaming options, but this is a specific approach that is not widely used).

The filling itself is prepared by adding sugar and raw eggs to the cottage cheese. The latter is necessary so that it does not fall out when biting into the baked goods. You can also add to the cottage cheese: dried fruits, fresh berries, fruits, herbs, green onions, aromatic spices like mint.

You can use store-bought pie dough for recipes for pies with cottage cheese. Or suffer and prepare it yourself. Yeast and puff pastries are good for baking in the oven. And for frying in a frying pan, choose unleavened, simple dough.

The pies can also be made closed or partially open - when the filling is not inside, but on top of the dough. Some may say that these are already vatrushki, sochniki or buns, but, in essence, these are the same pies.

The fluffiest curd pies are, of course, oven-baked, fluffy, made with yeast, and with a golden brown crust. These are most similar to buns with a juicy filling. Their advantage is also that there is no need to waste oil for frying. And no harmful substances are formed on them during the combustion of oil. No need to waste time draining them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
