Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 2 hr 20 mins
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

    Required ingredients for the dough

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

    Beat eggs with sugar

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add salt and beat a little more

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Now add yogurt. I use homemade natural yogurt, but you can also use store-bought yogurt that has been sitting in the refrigerator (for example, wild berries). Yogurt, as we know, is a perishable product, so if it is no longer suitable for food, then it will be ideal for dough. If there is not enough yogurt, add warm water or milk to the required amount of liquid. Instead of yogurt, you can take yogurt, kefir, whey or just milk and water 50:50

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

    Dry yeast mix with flour

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Now we combine the dry and liquid components

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Butter should always be added to the dough last, which is what I do.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Using a spoon and then using your hands, knead the dough. You need to knead for 10-15 minutes, as they say, “until it stops sticking to your hands.” I usually trust this process to a bread maker, it helps me a lot with this!

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Well kneaded dough is smooth, even and elastic

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Now all he has to do is come within 1 hour. To do this, cover the dough with a towel and place it in a warm place.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

In the meantime, let's get started with the filling. We will need fresh or frozen berries and sugar. Any berries will do: garden-grown or wild berries - in any case it will be very tasty! Berries need to be washed

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Free the currants from the branches

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

    Remove the stems from strawberries

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

After an hour the dough had risen very well

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

It worked even though we didn’t use the dough, but mixed dry yeast directly with flour - after all, our yeast is fast-acting dry

  16. STEP 16

    STEP 16

Now divide the dough into small balls. I got 25 pieces.

  17. STEP 17

    STEP 17

Everything is ready for making pies

  18. STEP 18

    STEP 18

Place a few berries on each piece

  19. STEP 19

    STEP 19

    On top - 1-2 teaspoons. l. sahra

  20. STEP 20

    STEP 20

You can put different berries in each pie, for example only raspberries or strawberries, or you can put several different berries in each pie

  21. STEP 21

    STEP 21

Try both options and choose yours! I like both!

  22. STEP 22

    STEP 22

Carefully pinch the edges and place the seam side up so that the filling does not leak out.

  23. STEP 23

    STEP 23

Place the pies on baking parchment greased with a little vegetable oil

  24. STEP 24

    STEP 24

To grease the pies, lightly beat the egg. Some people add 1-2 tablespoons of water, I don’t do this

  25. STEP 25

    STEP 25

Brush the pies with egg and they will take on a beautiful shiny golden appearance when baked.

  26. STEP 26

    STEP 26

Place in the oven to prove for about 15 minutes at minimum temperature. During this time the pies will rise well

  27. STEP 27

    STEP 27

Then bake at 180 degrees until golden brown. Baking time depends on your oven. Today I have an electric oven, top and bottom, and it only took me 25 minutes to bake.

  28. STEP 28

    STEP 28

Lightly sprinkle the finished pies with some water, cover with a towel and let cool. The aroma is simply magnificent!

  29. STEP 29

    STEP 29

    Enjoy your tea!

I was left with not very fresh yogurt, as well as berries that the children refused to eat (blackberries and yellow raspberries). Therefore, when I found a recipe for “yeast pies with berries in the oven” using the ingredients in a search engine, I was delighted))) I was even more pleased with the resulting yeast dough. It rose really well and quickly without any dough (it says “fast-acting” on the yeast package). There was a lot of it; I used half of it to form pies with berry filling. Not only was the juicy and moist berry filling suitable for such a tender and fluffy dough; from the remaining amount, the daughter made “chocolate pies” and cinnamon rolls, and the baked goods also turned out great. Very good recipe, I recommend it!

And I, blindly, thought that these were the ones with strawberries.....I saw them the third time and was simply delighted ----what an interesting composition of the dough. A couple more of these masterpieces and when I arrive in town at the oven I will begin to master the science called DOUGH. In the meantime, I’m taking this beauty to K/K. Thank you!
