  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make yeast-free buns in the oven? Measure out the required ingredients for the dough. It is better to use soft cottage cheese with minimal moisture. If the cottage cheese is flaky or coarse-grained, you can grind it in a blender to make the dough more homogeneous. Read about how to choose cottage cheese for the dough in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. Take odorless vegetable oil.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

In a bowl, beat eggs with sugar, salt and vanilla sugar until smooth. Vanilla sugar can be replaced with vanillin. In this case, mix it with flour. Read more about the features of using vanilla sugar and vanillin in a separate article at the link after the recipe.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add cottage cheese to the egg mixture and stir.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour in vegetable oil, mix well.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Mix flour with baking powder. Read about all the nuances of working with baking powder in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. Sift the flour into the dough. It is important to sift the flour to saturate it with oxygen. Then the baked goods will turn out airy and rise well during baking. Do not pour out all the flour at once; you may need less. This will depend on the moisture content of the curd. Stir the dough first with a spoon, then knead with your hands.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

The dough turns out soft, slightly sticky, which is typical for cottage cheese dough. If it sticks too much to your hands, add a little more flour.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Roll the dough into a sausage and cut it into 10-12 pieces.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Form each piece of dough into a round bun.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Place the pieces on a parchment-lined baking sheet. You can choose the right parchment paper by reading a separate article about the features of parchment, the link is at the end of the recipe.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Brush the tops of the buns with egg yolk.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Bake the buns in an oven preheated to 180 C until golden brown, about 25 minutes. Set the baking time and mode based on the operating characteristics of your oven. Useful information on this topic can be read at the link at the end of the recipe.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Cool the buns made from yeast-free dough and serve. Bon appetit!

Today I decided to bake yeast-free buns for tea. My cottage cheese was grainy, but I didn’t rub it through a sieve or punch it with a blender, but left it as is, so that grains of cottage cheese would be found in the buns. I kneaded the dough and formed the buns. I brushed them with egg yolk and put them in the oven. They took longer to bake for me than for the author. They even managed to brown ahead of time, so I covered them on top with a sheet of foil and baked until done. The buns turned out soft, airy, with a delicious golden brown crust. They don’t have a lot of sugar, but this little sweetness was enough for me. I’ll take note of the recipe, I really liked these buns
