Triangles with poppy seeds
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
Dough ingredients
STEP 2
Add yeast and sugar to milk (room temperature), stir until the yeast and sugar go into solution.
STEP 3
Sift the flour into the bowl of the food processor, add a pinch of salt and cold butter cut into pieces. Grind until crumbly.
STEP 4
Add the egg and mix.
STEP 5
Pour in the yeast solution and quickly knead the dough. The dough may be a little sticky.
STEP 6
Place the resulting dough on a floured work surface and form it into a ball. Put it in a bag and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
STEP 7
Let's prepare the filling.
STEP 8
Fill the poppy seeds with water (you need about 250 - 300 ml of water) and cook for 15 minutes.
STEP 9
Place the poppy seeds in a sieve.
STEP 10
Grind the poppy seeds with sugar using a meat grinder or coffee grinder.
STEP 11
After an hour, take out the dough and roll it out into a layer about 3 mm thick. Use a cookie cutter to cut out circles (mine is about 9 cm in diameter). We collect the dough scraps and then roll them out again. I made 16 pies in total.
STEP 12
Place a heaping teaspoon of filling onto the dough circles.
STEP 13
We pinch it in the form of triangles with a small hole in the center.
STEP 14
Place the triangles with poppy seeds on a baking sheet; if desired, you can grease them with egg (I didn’t grease them). Bake at 180 C for about 15-20 minutes, the triangles should brown on the sides and bottom.
STEP 15
Let the triangles cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired and serve. Bon appetit!
