Tomato juice through a meat grinder
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make homemade tomato juice through a meat grinder for the winter? Prepare all ingredients. Of course, it is better to make tomato juice from tomatoes grown on your own plot, in environmentally friendly conditions, that are tasty and sweet.
STEP 2
Wash the tomatoes thoroughly under running water. If we use a regular meat grinder for work, without attachments for juice, then the skin of the tomatoes must be removed, otherwise it will go away along with the pulp. To do this, place them in a container of boiling water for a couple of minutes, remove them and immediately dip them in a container of cold water. This little trick will make it easy to remove the skin from the fruit. Remove the stem and remove the skin.
STEP 3
Cut the tomatoes into quarters so that they can be easily passed through a meat grinder. Scroll them through a meat grinder. If you have a regular meat grinder and there are seeds left in the juice, you can pass the juice through a sieve or leave it as is.
STEP 4
Pour the resulting tomato juice into a saucepan with a thick bottom. Put it on fire. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer the juice for about 15 minutes. Remove any foam that forms on the surface. Add salt to your taste. You can put it a little more or less than in the recipe - try it and adjust it to your liking. You can also add sugar as desired or do without it. Stir in the juice and cook for another 5 minutes.
STEP 5
Then pour in vinegar and stir. Remove tomato juice from heat. First you need to prepare the jars for rolling. Wash the jars in running water and soda, place them upside down on the oven rack, preheat the oven to 150°C and sterilize 0.5 l jars - 10 minutes, 1 l - 15 minutes. Wash the lids and boil. You can also sterilize jars in the microwave or steam, choose a proven option.
STEP 6
Pour the juice into prepared jars; it is better to take small jars so that after opening the jars of juice do not store for a long time. Immediately roll up the lids on the jars. Wrap them in a warm blanket and let cool at room temperature. Then store it in the pantry. You can learn how to calculate the number of cans and save the blanks from the article.
