Sweet pies made from yeast dough with apples and pumpkin
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to bake sweet pies from yeast dough with apples and pumpkin? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Add yeast and a tablespoon of sugar to warm milk (100 ml). Stir and set aside.
STEP 2

Break the eggs into the dough bowl and add sugar. Beat well, preferably until the sugar dissolves.
STEP 3

Add 200 ml of milk to the eggs and sugar and mix.
STEP 4

Add the melted and cooled margarine to the bowl and stir.
STEP 5

Add yeast and stir. If your yeast milk does not foam, the yeast may be expired and the dough will not rise with it. Make another batch with different yeast.
STEP 6

Sift the flour into a bowl with the liquid emulsion.
STEP 7

Knead first with a spoon and then with your hands. You may need a little more or a little less flour. You can read more about flour and its properties in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.
STEP 8

The dough turns out soft and does not stick to your hands. Don't overwork the flour when kneading. Softer dough means more tender pies. Place the finished dough in a bowl, cover with film and leave to rise.
STEP 9

Wash and peel the apples for the filling, peel the pumpkin. Remove the zest from half a lemon.
STEP 10

Cut the pumpkin and apples into equal size cubes. Sprinkle apples with lemon juice.
STEP 11

Melt the butter in a saucepan.
STEP 12

Add sugar and stir.
STEP 13

Add apples and pumpkin to butter and sugar.
STEP 14

Simmer, stirring, until the apples and pumpkin are cooked.
STEP 15

Add lemon zest to the finished cooled filling and stir.
STEP 16

Knead the fluffy dough a little.
STEP 17

Divide the dough into balls of the same size.
STEP 18

Roll each ball into a circle and add a spoonful of filling.
STEP 19

First pinch the pie like a dumpling, and then stretch the ends to the sides and fasten them.
STEP 20

Place the pieces on a parchment-lined baking sheet with the pinch side down, cover with a towel and let rise for half an hour. Brush the tops of future pies with beaten egg yolk before baking.
STEP 21

Bake the pies at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes. The exact time and temperature will vary depending on your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. Bon appetit!
