    STEP 1

How to make sweet cucumbers in a jar for the winter? Prepare the ingredients according to the list. The indicated amount of ingredients is calculated for one liter jar. It is better to use cucumbers for harvesting that are young, fresh, not stored for a long time after harvest, and no more than 10 centimeters long. Wash the cucumbers thoroughly under running water, you can even wipe them with a soft sponge, but carefully so as not to remove the skin.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

You don’t have to trim the ends of the cucumbers, but it’s better to do so; they will better absorb the marinade. Place in a large saucepan or basin and cover with clean cold water and leave to soak for four hours. During this time, the water needs to be changed once. After the specified time, drain the water and rinse the cucumbers again with clean water.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Wash the greens, let them dry on a paper towel. Free the garlic cloves from the husks, cut them into quarters or large pieces.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Place the herbs and garlic in prepared jars. Jars must be washed with soda solution and sterilized. You can sterilize jars in a water bath, in the microwave or in the oven. For 1 liter jars, 15 minutes is enough. Lids also need to be sterilized or boiled.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place the cucumbers tightly on top; it is better to stir the cucumbers vertically into liter jars. Pour sugar, salt directly into the jars on top, pour in vinegar and boiled, cooled water. Water must be poured up to the hangers of the cans.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Cover the jars with lids and place the jars in a pan of water with a towel on the bottom. The water should also only reach the hangers of the cans, not higher. Place the pan with the preparation on the fire and sterilize for about 10 minutes from the moment the water boils in the pan. Immediately seal the jars with lids and leave to cool at room temperature upside down under a blanket. Store in a cool pantry for the winter. Bon appetit!

An interesting recipe, but I like spicy things, so I leave out spicy pickled cucumbers.
