  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make bagels with minced meat in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients. If necessary, defrost the minced meat in advance on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. I used mixed pork and beef, but any minced meat will work, such as pork, beef or chicken. Bagels or dry breads must be unsweetened, preferably small.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Place the bagels in a deep container and pour warm milk, but not hot, otherwise the bagels may turn into porridge. Leave them for about 10-15 minutes (time depends on the size and thickness of the products). The bagels should become softer. It is important to ensure that they retain their shape and do not spread out. Turn the bagels over from time to time so that they soak evenly on all sides. Then place them on paper towels to drain all excess milk.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

While the dryers are soaking, prepare the filling. Peel medium-sized onions, rinse with cold water and grate on a fine grater. If you want, you can chop the onion as finely as possible with a knife. Add chopped onion to minced meat.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Beat one chicken egg into the minced meat. Salt and pepper to taste. Mix the minced meat well with a spoon or hand until smooth.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Grate the hard cheese onto a large or medium-sized grater. Take any cheese, the main thing is that it is tasty and melts well when baked.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

I lined the baking sheet with a silicone baking mat. If you don’t have such a mat, you can simply grease a baking sheet with refined vegetable oil. Place the bagels at some distance from each other. Place about a teaspoon of minced meat in the middle. Place grated cheese on top. Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes until the filling is cooked through.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Determine the exact time according to your oven. Ready-made warm stuffed bagels can be placed on a dish with lettuce, garnished with parsley leaves or basil. Serve with fresh vegetables, herbs, adjika, and sauces.

I prepared stuffed bagels with minced meat in the oven, and really liked this dish: both hot and cold. Soaked the bagels in milk and left for 10 minutes. Add finely chopped onion, salt, pepper, egg to the minced meat and mix. I grated the cheese on a fine grater. I placed the finished minced meat on bagels, put cheese on top and put it in the oven to bake at 180° for 25 minutes. A delicious idea, simple and satisfying! Thanks for the recipe Vera.

Super!!! Thank you very much for the recipe! And it’s true - from distant childhood, a memory...Dad loved to cook! They poured a sauce called “kvartsakh” (perhaps the spelling is wrong) over the ready-made delicacies. Everything was eaten instantly. And very tasty, unusual, and there were 6 people in the family. I always cook with kvarts! No ketchup is needed! The sauce goes with absolutely any meat and fish. It consists of tomato paste, boiled water, Georgian adjika (I prepare it myself), dill and cilantro. I dilute the tomato with water (either boiling water or cold boiled water). The thickness is optional. I add all the ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Let it brew. If the tomato is sour, add a little sugar. If desired, add pressed garlic. Perfect for any boiled meat, barbecue, fish, and even just spaghetti.

An interesting recipe and tasty, but there’s some confusion: it’s a bagel...then it’s a dryer—they’re still very different in size and hardness. In the photo it looks like it's drying. Can you clarify??? Thanks for the recipe!!

Interesting recipe, I wanted to try to make it, there is no milk, the store is far away, I don’t feel like going, do you think it’s possible to soak the dryers in water?
