STEP 1
How to make sauce from sour cream with flour and onions? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. You can use sour cream of any fat content. I have sour cream 20% fat. Of course, the gravy will be tastier in broth, and from cooking any type of meat. But if this is not possible, then you can simply prepare the gravy with water.
STEP 2
Peel the onion and rinse in cold water. Then finely chop the peeled onion.
STEP 3
To prepare the gravy, heat a frying pan and place a piece of butter on it. Once the butter has melted, add the chopped onion. Mix everything. Fry the onion in butter for 2-3 minutes. Don't forget to stir so the onion doesn't start to burn. During frying, the onion will become softer.
STEP 4
Sprinkle flour over the onions. Stir and fry together with the flour for a couple more minutes until the flour browns a little.
STEP 5
Pour broth into the pan. Heat to a boil. Stir thoroughly until all lumps of flour are separated.
STEP 6
Add garlic, passed through a press and sour cream to the boiling mass and mix everything. You can add a little more or less sour cream. With more quantity the gravy will taste creamier.
STEP 7
Sprinkle the gravy with salt and spices. You can take absolutely any spices to suit your taste. It is the spices that will set the main taste and aroma of the gravy. I add paprika, a mixture of ground peppers and dried basil. Mix everything and heat for a minute.
STEP 8
Sour cream sauce with flour and onions is ready! It is perfect for cutlets, meatballs, spaghetti or fried chicken.
