Soup with rice, potatoes and meat
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to cook soup with rice, potatoes and meat? Prepare your food. Take any meat - both pork and beef will do. Even chicken will turn out delicious. Choose soft, boneless parts as it will not cook for long. I have pork shoulder. Any rice is also suitable - round, long, steamed. I took it just steamed so that the rice would not boil too much in the soup. You can reduce the amount of rice if you don’t like very thick soups.
STEP 2
First of all, chop all the ingredients. Wash the meat, dry it and cut into small pieces. It is better to cut off excess fat and veins.
STEP 3
Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. You can also add garlic to the soup.
STEP 4
Peel the carrots and cut into small cubes.
STEP 5
Cut the tomato in half, grate each half on a coarse grater. Do not rub the skin, but throw it away. Or you can peel the tomato and then chop it finely. The grater option is faster.
STEP 6
Cut the potatoes into cubes.
STEP 7
Take a saucepan with a thick bottom - the meat and vegetables will be fried directly in it, so heating is important. The article on saucepans, link at the end of the recipe, will help you choose the ideal soup pot. Heat the pan over medium heat. Pour vegetable oil into the bottom for frying. Place the meat. Fry it while stirring for about 7 minutes until the color changes.
STEP 8
Add onion to the meat, fry the meat and onion together for a couple of minutes. Then add the chopped carrots and tomatoes to the pan. Stir. Salt and season with spices to taste. I took paprika. Stir again and leave the meat and vegetables to fry for 5 minutes.
STEP 9
Pour hot water into the pan. Adjust its quantity yourself depending on the number of products and your preferences. Wait until it boils, reduce the heat to low, and cover the pan with a lid. Cook the soup for 30-40 minutes, depending on the type and parts of meat.
STEP 10
Then add the potatoes and washed rice to the pan. Cook the soup after boiling for about 15 minutes, until the potatoes are soft.
STEP 11
Then cover the pan with a lid, turn off the heat and leave the soup to stand for 15-20 minutes - during this time the rice will be completely cooked.
STEP 12
Serve rice and potato soup with meat to the table, sprinkling it with chopped herbs. Bon appetit!
