Shish kebab in pomegranate juice
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
To prepare shish kebab in pomegranate juice, prepare all the necessary spices. Use them to your taste, but little by little.
STEP 2
To prepare the marinade, peel, rinse and cut the onion into half rings. Place it in a spacious bowl in which the kebab will be marinated. Add all the spices and a little salt. Add broken bay leaf. Stir.
STEP 3
Cut the pork neck into medium-sized pieces. There is no need to chop very finely, as it will be inconvenient to thread on skewers. Place the chopped meat in a bowl with the marinade.
STEP 4
Peel the pomegranates and remove veins. Place everything in a small saucepan. Using a glass or mug, squeeze the juice out of the pomegranate.
STEP 5
Strain the juice through a fine sieve. This will yield approximately 250-300 ml of pomegranate juice.
STEP 6
Pour fresh pomegranate juice over the meat.
STEP 7
Mix everything well. It is convenient to do this with your hands. Then cover with a lid or, best of all, wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 8-10 hours.
STEP 8
Thread the well-marinated meat onto skewers.
STEP 9
Cook over hot coals, turning evenly so that the meat does not burn, but is well cooked.
STEP 10
Serve the finished kebab with fresh vegetables and fresh herbs. Complete it with your favorite sauce. Bon appetit!
