STEP 1
How to make rice with minced meat in tomato sauce? Prepare your food. Any minced meat is suitable - beef, pork, chicken, turkey or mixed varieties. If you have frozen minced meat, first remove it from the freezer and let it defrost at room temperature. Take any rice - round, long-grain, steamed, the only difference will be in the cooking time. Rinse the rice several times in cold water.
STEP 2
Peel the onion and finely chop it. Pour a little vegetable oil into a hot frying pan and add chopped onion. Fry it for 1-2 minutes over medium heat until it becomes translucent.
STEP 3
Add minced meat to the pan with the onions. Fry everything together for a few minutes, stirring the meat with a spatula and breaking up any lumps so that the moisture evaporates and the minced meat browns a little.
STEP 4
For the sauce, mix tomato paste and water. Stir until the tomato paste is evenly dispersed in the water.
STEP 5
Pour tomato sauce over the minced meat.
STEP 6
Then add the rinsed rice to the pan and add hot water until it is just above the surface of the rice. Add a little salt and spices to taste. Cover the pan with a lid and cook over low heat for 15-20 minutes. Cooking time depends on the type of rice you choose. It should become soft and absorb all the water. Monitor the water level and the degree of readiness of the rice. If necessary, add a little water during cooking.
STEP 7
When the rice is ready, mix it with the minced meat. Turn off the heat and keep it covered a little longer to steam the rice even more. Place the finished dish on a plate and serve hot. Bon appetit!
