How to make red beans in tomato sauce? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Choose any spices to suit your taste. From the spices, I took ground black pepper, asafoetida and smoked paprika, it gives a great touch of smoked meat, very subtle and delicate. Tomato paste can be replaced with any tomato sauce to taste.

Rinse the beans and soak in clean water overnight. Then drain the water, place the beans in a saucepan, cover with clean water and place over high heat. While the beans are boiling, wash, peel and grate the carrots. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Read about how to choose the ideal frying pan, as well as how to choose the right vegetable oil in separate articles, links at the end of the recipe. Place chopped carrots in a frying pan and fry them over medium heat, stirring, for 5-7 minutes until soft.

I used colored beans. And I added more onions, it’s somehow unusual without onions. I fried the onions at the step where the carrots are fried. Cooking is quick and very simple. Red beans in tomato sauce are very tasty. A hearty, tasty dinner, with a sweetish aftertaste, and rice as a side dish, the perfect combination.

Thanks for the recipe. I also added onions because it tasted better that way. But the cooking time turned out to be longer for me, I don’t know why. Maybe she didn't soak it enough? Somewhere around 7.5-8 hours. I changed the water twice. The beans did not turn out soggy, just moderately soft. But it’s still very nutritious and tasty.
