Quick apple jam in slices
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make clear apple jam in slices quickly? Prepare all the necessary products. Take apples that are sweet and sour, preferably green, juicy, but dense, so that when cooked, the apple slices retain their shape and do not turn into a shapeless mass.
STEP 2

Wash the apples well and place in a colander to drain the water. The skin, if it is not damaged, does not need to be trimmed. Cut the apples into slices, removing the core.
STEP 3

Pour sugar into a saucepan or bowl, add water and cook the sugar syrup with constant stirring, bringing it to a boil and the sugar crystals are completely dissolved. The article on saucepans, link at the end of the recipe, will help you choose the ideal saucepan for jam.
STEP 4

Place the apples cut into slices into the syrup. Stir gently to coat all slices with syrup and bring to a boil. Cover the pan with a lid for 5 minutes - this way the apples will cook at the same time, there will be no semi-dry slices left, as is often the case in apple jam. Remove the lid, shake the apples and turn off the heat. Cool the jam.
STEP 5

Repeat cooking a couple more times, leaving it to cool until the jam is ready. As a result, the actual cooking of the jam takes only 20 minutes. The rest of the time is soaking and cooling. Happy cooking and bon appetit!
