  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make apple puffs? First, remove the puff pastry from the freezer and let it thaw at room temperature. Meanwhile, start preparing the filling. For the filling, take sweet and sour apples. Wash them, remove the core and cut them into cubes.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Heat the pan until hot. Melt butter on it and add sugar. Make sure the sugar doesn't start to burn.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add the chopped apples to the pan. Mix everything well. When frying, the apples will release juice and it will seem that the mass has become liquid.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Continue simmering the apples over medium heat until the liquid has evaporated and the apples are soft. Then remove the pan from the heat and cool the apple filling.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Roll out the defrosted soft puff pastry a little and cut into rectangles of approximately the same size. Make cuts on half of all rectangles, as in the photo.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place a couple of spoons of apple filling on the second half. Don't skimp on the filling. It has already been boiled and, therefore, almost nothing will leak out of it when baking. Cover the apples with the second half of the dough, the one with the cuts, and pinch the edges.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place the puff pastries on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Brush the tops of the puff pastries with yolk and sprinkle a little sugar. Place them in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20-30 minutes. The finished puff pastries will increase slightly in size and acquire a pleasant golden hue. Remove the finished puff pastries from the oven and cool slightly. Help yourself and treat your family and friends. Bon appetit!

From ready-made puff pastry, I prepare baked goods in no time! It’s delicious even without filling, like these tongues with sugar.

My daughter asked me to make apple puffs, she really loves them. To do this, I took yeast-free puff pastry, just two layers with a total weight of 500 g. There were twelve pies in total. The recipe is described in detail and clearly, so there were no questions. The dough was easy to work with, a real pleasure) For the filling, I peeled the apples to make them softer and fried them until crispy caramel. I really love caramelized apples, I would just eat them like that) The apple filling really came out quite thick, the syrup did not leak out during baking. I brushed the puff pastries with yolk, slightly diluted with milk. They turned out to be simply magnificent puff pastries! They are soft, fragrant and very tasty. The aroma of apples hovered throughout the kitchen even at the roasting stage, but even in the oven the puff pastries were fragrant with apple filling. I love such homely, cozy smells) My daughter ate puff pastries with milk and cocoa, she liked it. And to all household members too!

And again, puff pastry comes to the rescue when you need to quickly and tasty prepare something for tea. This time I made a puff pastry with apples from puff pastry. I cut the apples into small cubes and fried them in a frying pan with sugar until caramelized. I added a little cinnamon for aroma and taste. While I was preparing the filling, the dough defrosted. Roll out the dough lightly on a floured surface and cut into rectangles. I made cuts on one side. Place a tablespoon of filling on the other side and seal the edges. Placed the puff pastries on a baking sheet, brushed them with beaten yolk and baked at 200° for 25 minutes. Appetizing, beautiful, with a juicy filling, the puff pastries turned out to be delicious! Thanks to Yulia for the idea!

Thanks for the recipe! I also love puff pastry, I buy both yeast and yeast-free ones. Indeed, it helps with the speed of preparation and the ability to use leftovers, for example, with mashed potato filling you get delicious pies.
