If necessary, defrost the meat by transferring it from the freezer to the bottom shelf of the refrigerator in advance. As a spice, you can also add paprika or use ready-made mixtures for meat.

    Wash and dry the meat piece with paper towels and cut into medium pieces.

    Wash the carrots and potatoes thoroughly. Peel the vegetables and cut them into small cubes. If desired, carrots can also be cut into cubes, circles, cubes, or coarsely grated.

    Pour refined vegetable oil with a high smoking point into the frying pan and heat it. Dip a wooden spatula into the hot oil; if bubbles form around it, add the meat slices. Fry the meat over high heat on all sides until golden brown, then transfer them to a thick-bottomed pan.

I got very tasty potatoes and meat stewed in a saucepan. I really love dishes like this when meat and side dish are cooked together. I fried the meat and carrots in a cauldron. The pork had fat, so first I trimmed off the fat, cut it into small pieces and simmered it over low heat. Thus, there was no need to use additional vegetable oil. I cut the carrots into circles with a curly knife. When I was stewing meat with carrots, I added an onion to the water so that it would impart its flavor to the future dish. For spices I had thyme, a mixture of ground peppers, bay leaf and allspice. I added the tomato paste at the end so that the potatoes had time to boil a little. We like this option) It turned out to be an excellent second course that the whole family liked! The meat is soft, the potatoes are rich in all the spices and meat juice, the carrots are sweet. I wanted to make stewed potatoes for dinner, so that both my husband would be satisfied and my child would like it. I found a good recipe on my favorite website and decided to try it. First I fried the pork in pieces, then fried the onions and carrots. I didn’t want to cook in a saucepan, so I stewed the dish in a deep frying pan. Added tomato paste, water, bay leaf, salt and cooked for about 20 minutes. Then added potato cubes and simmered until done. At the end I added chopped garlic. Great recipe! Potatoes and meat stewed in a saucepan (in my case, in a frying pan) turned out perfectly. The potatoes are tender and tasty, the meat is very soft and aromatic. And this whole story is complemented by a delicious gravy with vegetables. Everyone gobbled it up with great pleasure.
