  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake potatoes in mayonnaise in the oven? Prepare all the necessary products. Of course, it is better to use young potatoes, but if you don’t have any, then old ones will do. Homemade mayonnaise is preferable.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Peel the potatoes. Try to cut off thin skin. It’s not so easy to do this with a knife, so I recommend using a vegetable peeler, it cleans potatoes perfectly.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Cut the peeled potatoes in any convenient way. For me these are semicircles, but they can also be circles and cubes. The main thing is not to cut too small when cutting, otherwise the potatoes will turn into mashed potatoes when baked, but they should still keep their shape.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

    Salt the chopped potatoes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add chopped garlic. I grate it on a fine grater, but you can also chop the garlic with a knife or pass it through a press. If for some reason you don't have fresh garlic, feel free to replace it with garlic powder.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Add mayonnaise. Of course, if you wish, you can use sour cream, thick yogurt, and heavy cream instead of mayonnaise.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Mix everything well. Also at this stage you can add your favorite herbs and seasonings to the potatoes. Provencal herbs, thyme, rosemary, and just ground allspice or paprika are quite suitable here. Or maybe it will be grated cheese. Choose according to your taste!

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Place the potatoes in a heatproof dish. Bake the potatoes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 35-40 minutes. The exact time depends on the operation of your oven and the type of potato. You can cover the pan with foil, then the potatoes will turn out to be stewed, or you can open them 10 minutes before the end of baking, this will give you a light crispy golden brown. If you prefer a crispy version of the dish, then do not cover the pan with foil at all.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

These potatoes are delicious both hot and cold. You can serve it as an independent dish, it is self-sufficient and satisfying! Or you can use it as a side dish for meat and fish dishes. Bon appetit!

A very easy to prepare dish: Potatoes in mayonnaise baked in the oven, you just need to cut the potatoes and mix with mayonnaise, add salt. I put the potatoes in foil instead of a mold and put them on top, before removing the potatoes I opened the top of the foil to brown the potatoes . Potatoes in mayonnaise are not for everyone; for example, not everyone at home likes mayonnaise, and there is a specific smell, but you can hardly taste the mayonnaise. I sprinkled the finished potatoes with frozen dill and red pepper for beauty. I baked potatoes as a side dish for the wings, it turned out to be a very filling and tasty dinner.

I like to cook potatoes in the oven, so today for lunch I made them according to the recipe for potatoes in mayonnaise baked in the oven. It only took 4 ingredients - potatoes, garlic, mayonnaise and salt. I cut the potatoes into cubes and grated a clove of garlic. I transferred them to a deep plate, added mayonnaise and salt. For spices I used Italian herbs. After mixing everything, I placed the potatoes in a baking dish and put them in the oven. According to the recipe, you could bake the potatoes both under foil and without it. I chose the first option so that the potatoes were well baked - until soft. I cooked it for 40 minutes at 220°, then removed the foil and left it in the oven for another 15 minutes. The bottom of the potatoes was covered with a delicious golden brown crust. The inside became very soft and crumbly. Garlic added its aroma, and mayonnaise added a pleasant taste. Thank you very much for the recipe!
