Potato wedges baked in the oven

A delicious and beautiful dish loved by many! Sour cream sauce and ketchup go well with potato wedges baked in the oven - that's the minimum. A juicy vegetable salad, a variety of sauces, dips, and hummus will not be amiss. Serve the wedges hot. A great dish for a family dinner or meeting with friends.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

To prepare potato wedges, you will need potatoes, vegetable oil, as well as salt and spices (it is advisable to use paprika, curry, turmeric, ground black pepper are good, and granulated garlic will also give an excellent taste).

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

You can peel the potatoes, or you can leave the skins on, but in this case you should rinse the tubers well, preferably with a brush. Cut the prepared potatoes into slices.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add vegetable oil, salt and spices.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Mix the potatoes with your hands so that the oil and spices are evenly distributed over the entire surface (you can put the potatoes with oil and spices in a bag and mix in the bag, then your hands will remain clean).

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place the slices on a baking sheet, placing them on edge. This will ensure perfect baking and even browning.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place the potato wedges in an oven preheated to 190-200 degrees. Bake for approximately 30-40 minutes. As soon as the slices are appetizingly browned and soft inside, take them out.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Serve the finished potato wedges baked in the oven hot with one or more sauces.

I love this method of baking potatoes. I also add Italian herbs to the spices.

I always thought about making this as a side dish for the holiday table. And recently I discovered baked potatoes in wedges. I bake it with different spices. The most important thing is that each potato wedge is covered with a thin layer of vegetable oil. Then the finished pieces are very reminiscent of French fries, with a soft fluffy core inside and a crispy golden brown outside. This recipe fully matches my taste) Spices in the form of curry, paprika and freshly ground pepper made the potatoes aromatic, beautiful and tasty. A little spice won’t hurt the neutral-tasting potatoes) I served potato wedges with different sauces, I especially liked dipping them in teriyaki sauce. It’s very tasty, and it’s also convenient for guests to take from a shared plate. Thanks for the recipe!

Thank you for participating in the Best Recipe of the Week competition! You have an excellent photograph and an interesting angle in which the potatoes do not lose their texture and do not look flat. A very good decision. The tandem of a black plate and golden potatoes turned out to be very expressive, and a fork with a black handle completes the composition. We look forward to your recipes in the next stages of the competition!
