Potato dough with potatoes

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to knead potato dough with potatoes? Prepare the necessary ingredients.
STEP 2

You can use mashed potatoes left over from dinner, or you can cook fresh ones. To do this, wash the potatoes thoroughly, peel and cut into large pieces. Place the chopped potatoes in a saucepan, cover with water and salt. Cook over medium heat until done, covering with a lid. When the potatoes are cooked, drain the water, mash them with a potato masher, getting rid of any lumps, and cool slightly.
STEP 3

Sift some of the flour into the cooled mashed potatoes and stir. It is easier to do this with a masher or a fork; the dough is still very sticky.
STEP 4

Beat the egg into the dough and mix, add a pinch of salt and sugar. Gradually sift the flour into the mashed potatoes, kneading the dough with your hands. Add flour until the dough stops sticking to your hands and walls of the dish.
STEP 5

Gather the finished dough into a ball and use it to form various products: pies, pies, dumplings.
STEP 6

The dough is suitable for frying in a pan, baking in the oven or boiling in water. Mushrooms, cabbage, eggs, meat, etc. can be used as filling for pies. The easiest option is to make potato pies with sausages. Bon appetit!
