Pork shashlik on a baking sheet in the oven

Very tasty and simple, without grilling. Everyone can do it! Pork shish kebab on a baking sheet in the oven turns out no worse than on coals. The only thing is that there is no smoky flavor. But if you wish, you can also add it using liquid smoke!

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make shish kebab on a baking sheet in the oven from pork? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. For pork meat, choose neck or tenderloin. This meat will not be dry after baking.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut the meat into small pieces, approximately 3*3 or 4*4 cm.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Peel the onion, rinse in cool water and finely chop. Remember to chop the onion with your hands so that it releases its juice faster. Add the onion to the bowl with the meat. Add meat spices and dried basil here. I use a mixture of ground peppers as a spice. But dried basil can be replaced with any other dried aromatic herbs. Mix all the ingredients and leave to marinate for 2-3 hours.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Wooden skewers are suitable for preparing shish kebab. While the kebab is marinating, soak the skewers in water. They will be saturated with water and will not burn when baked.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

At the end of marinating, add salt to the meat and stir. Place the meat on skewers and place on a baking tray. Choose a baking tray so that the meat is suspended. Place the kebabs in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees, for 25-30 minutes. Be guided by your oven.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

The finished kebabs will be browned. Transfer them to a dish and serve. Bon appetit!

For May Day, I marinated shish kebab according to this recipe. But for weather reasons we never made it to the dacha. And then I found on the website this wonderful way of cooking pork shish kebab on a baking sheet in the oven. I soaked wooden sticks in water, although not for as long as required. I built a structure so that the meat could hang freely. I baked it in the oven, periodically turning the skewers in different directions. I focused not on a specific time, but on the appearance of the kebab, since my pieces of meat were large, and accordingly the cooking time increased. When the kebab was well browned on all sides, I took it out of the oven and served it hot directly on wooden skewers. Great method, I really liked it. The taste of shish kebab is not inferior to that cooked on the grill, but it does not have the distinct smell of a fire. The only advice is that it is better to cut the meat into smaller pieces so that they can be conveniently placed in the oven and can be easily turned over on sticks. With this recipe you can organize a May Day party at any time of the year, and in any weather! Thanks for the idea!

The family is delighted! Delicious, simple and very fast! I love homemade pork shish kebab on a baking sheet in the oven. Of course, this is not a real barbecue on coals and with smoke, but it is very aromatic and tender, and looks very appetizing and cozy! The meat is soft, tender, very tasty, thank you very much!
