Step-by-step preparation
Cooking time: 2 hr
STEP 1
Boil the heart in salted water with spices and cool it. Peel the onion. Drain the green peas.
STEP 2
Cut the onion into thin half rings and place in a convenient bowl.
STEP 3
Add salt, sugar and vinegar. There is about 2-3 times more sugar than salt.
STEP 4
Add vinegar and water, mix well. Taste the marinade and adjust to taste. Leave the onions to marinate for at least half an hour.
STEP 5
Remove fat from heart.
STEP 6
Cut the heart into thin strips.
STEP 7
Place the onion in a colander and squeeze a little. Add onion to meat.
STEP 8
Add green peas.
STEP 9
Salt and pepper the salad to taste, add mayonnaise.
STEP 10
Stir the salad, let it brew a little - and you're done. You can chop parsley into the salad, it comes in handy here.

The salad exceeded all my expectations! Delicious, filling, very juicy! Even at some point, the taste of the heart reminded me of the tenderness of a boiled tongue. I cut the onion larger, imagining in advance how it would crunch. Dressed with homemade mayonnaise. For myself personally, I discovered this ordinary offal in a new taste. This dish can also be prepared for a holiday table.
