  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make pollock in a frying pan with onions? Start cooking by chopping the onions. Before doing this, peel it. And the cutting itself can be arbitrary. I chose half rings. There should be a lot of onions, since, in fact, this is one of the main ingredients.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the defrosted pollock fillet under running water and dry with paper towels. This is done in order to remove excess moisture, which will only hinder the frying of the fish. Cut the pollock into portions.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

How to make breading from flour? Pour wheat flour onto a flat plate (any type will do, no need to sift). Add salt and dried herbs. I use basil and oregano. Herbs will add their own flavor to the finished dish. Stir the flour. The breading is ready!

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Heat a suitable sized non-stick frying pan over high heat. Then pour in the oil and heat it thoroughly, reduce the heat to medium. Roll the pollock pieces in breading on all sides.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place the fish in the pan and fill the spaces between the pieces with onions. The layout of the bow in my photo is not quite correct. I needed to distribute it specifically between the fish. Fry the fish for about seven minutes until golden brown.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Using a spatula, flip the fish over and cook on the other side for about seven more minutes. The fish should also be browned. Cooking times are approximate, they may vary significantly depending on the stove, frying pan and the amount of ingredients themselves. For example, I fried fish in two batches, since I couldn’t fit the entire volume at once. Remove the finished pollock from the pan and serve along with fried onions.

Pollock is an inexpensive, but very tasty and healthy fish. I like it for its tender meat. Despite the fact that the lean variety of fish, if cooked correctly, will surprise you with its juiciness. I had pollock as a whole fish without a head. I washed it well, removed the fins and excess black films. Divided into portions. Added salt and spices for the fish. You need to be careful with salt so as not to oversalt, because... seasoning for fish also contains a certain amount of salt. Pieces of pollock were carefully rolled in flour and fried with onion half rings in a preheated frying pan with the addition of vegetable oil until golden brown. The more onions, the tastier. The onion becomes soft with a pleasant sweetness. Pollock in a frying pan with onions, everything you need for a delicious dinner and a happy family.

Golden, tender fish with fried onions! Pollock in a frying pan with onions turns out juicy, saturated with the aromas of spices and onions. Onions perfectly highlight and complement the taste of fish. Cooking pollock is not at all difficult, but it turns out very tasty. Thank you very much for the recipe!
