Pike perch in a slow cooker

Pike perch stewed in sour cream is a perfectly balanced dish. A hearty, tasty, healthy dietary dish in all respects. Since pike perch has few small bones, pieces where there are none at all can be given to children. This is a wonderful breakfast, an excellent main course for lunch, and a healthy dinner. It’s not only good on weekdays – there’s no shame in offering it to guests. Serves as an independent main course, or as a snack when chilled. You can serve boiled potatoes or any vegetable puree with pike perch with vegetables.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Let's prepare the pike perch for cooking - gut the carcass, trim the head, tail, fins, remove the backbone and separate the fillet. Let's cut into portions.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Marinate the lightly salted pieces in your favorite spices. Let's put it aside.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Peel the onion, rinse, dry and cut into half rings.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Peel and wash the carrots. The ideal option is to grate it lengthwise on a coarse grater.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Cut the mushrooms, if they are champignons, into slices.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

After pouring oil into the multicooker bowl, add the champignons first. We cook them in the “Baking” mode.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

After 5-7 minutes of frying the mushrooms, add the onions and carrots here. Chop or crush the garlic. Don't forget to constantly turn it over! Cook for another 5 minutes.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Ready? Take out the vegetables and mushrooms and place them on a plate.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Then place slices of marinated fish on the bottom, and vegetables and mushrooms on top.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Pour sour cream over this beauty and continue in the same mode under a closed lid to cook the pike perch with vegetables for about 25 minutes. Look under the lid, if the sour cream is thick, everything may evaporate quickly. Then continue in the "Extinguishing" mode.

The recipe will come in handy, thank you. I also like to stew pike perch in tomato with vegetables in a frying pan. It turns out very tasty!

I haven’t cooked fish for a long time, so I decided to fill the gap and cooked pike perch in a slow cooker. My fish was frozen and quite large. I defrosted it in cold water. Then I cut it into portions, leaving the head too, there is a lot of meat in it. The bonus was caviar, I prepared that too. As the author advises, I took more onions and carrots to make a side dish. Additionally I added a small piece of cabbage. I baked pieces of pike perch under a “fur coat” of vegetables for 30 minutes. My only drawback: I diluted the sour cream too much with water and the fish fell apart a little from the liquid. Despite this, the pike perch turned out excellent! Very tender, tasty meat. And a juicy side dish. Great dish, we loved it!
