    STEP 1

How to make pike in a slow cooker? As easy as pie! Prepare all the products you will need. If you have frozen pike, you should first defrost it. Read about all the intricacies of proper defrosting in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. Remove the entrails from the fish and clean the carcass of scales. Rinse the pike thoroughly under running cold water.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut the fish into equal-sized portions. If you cook a pike head, be sure to remove the gills.

    STEP 3

Peel the onion, rinse and cut into thin half rings.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour a little vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl. Set the "Fry" mode and wait for the oil to heat up. Place the onion in a bowl.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

If desired, you can exclude all vegetables and cook the fish only with onions. All cooking options turn out very tasty. Salt everything to taste. Add your favorite spices.

  8. STEP 8

Pour in tomato sauce. If you use tomato paste, first dilute it with hot water until it becomes a homogeneous, not very thick mass.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Pour in boiling water. How much water should I use? Add water gradually depending on how much flavorful sauce you want to end up with. I needed about 100-150 ml of boiling water.

    STEP 10

Close the multicooker lid. Set the "Extinguishing" mode and leave to simmer until the sound signal. The time will be set automatically depending on the multicooker model. My pike was stewed for 30 minutes. Sprinkle the finished dish with herbs. The exact time and mode depend on your multicooker.
