STEP 1

How to fry thin pancakes with sour cream and water? Prepare your ingredients. It is better to use fatty and thick sour cream; pancakes will turn out even tastier with homemade sour cream. Remove the sour cream from the refrigerator in advance so that it is at room temperature when you start cooking. Water can be replaced with the same amount of milk. The amount of sugar can be adjusted to your taste. Place sour cream in a large container. Add sugar, salt and soda. Beat in the eggs.

Mix everything thoroughly with a whisk or mixer until the mixture is homogeneous in consistency.
STEP 3

Add sifted wheat flour in small portions. The flour must be sifted to saturate it with oxygen and make the dough more airy, and the pancakes made from it soft and tasty.
STEP 4

Mix the mixture well with a whisk or mixer until all the lumps of flour are completely separated.
STEP 5

Then pour in a glass of water (milk) in small portions, stirring the dough each time. The amount of liquid must be adjusted depending on the thickness of the sour cream used. Therefore, you need to focus on the thickness and consistency of the resulting dough. The more milk or water you pour into the dough, the thinner the pancakes will be.
STEP 6

Add a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil and mix the dough again. Give it 15-20 minutes to “rest”, after which you can move on to frying the pancakes.
STEP 7

It is convenient to fry pancakes in a cast iron frying pan or a non-stick frying pan. It is better to fry the first pancake in hot vegetable oil so that it does not stick. And in the future, you don’t need to add oil to the pan, since it is included in the dough.
STEP 8

Fry the pancakes over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Bon appetit!
