Omelet in a bag cooked in a pan

Airy, lush, satisfying. The preparation is very unusual! An omelette in a bag cooked in a pan is in no way inferior in its benefits to steamed cooking. It turns out light, but at the same time quite nutritious. And it’s done in an unusual way! Fast and easy!

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make an omelette in a bag cooked in a saucepan? Prepare all the necessary products. Take larger eggs, it is best if they are homemade eggs, or in extreme cases CO. They have a bright orange yolk, which gives the omelette a beautiful color. You can read a lot of useful information about chicken eggs in the article on this topic. There is a link at the end of this recipe.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Prepare a bag in which you will cook the omelet. Regular small lunch bags will do. For greater strength, I used two bags: I placed one inside the other.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Wash the eggs very well with a food-grade cleaning agent - their shells contain a lot of bacteria. Gently beat the eggs directly into the bag and pour in the milk. Note that the milk can be anything: natural or plant-based.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

If you wish, add your favorite ingredients to the bag. If you are a fan of heartier dishes, you can add pieces of bacon, pieces of chicken, chopped mushrooms, grated cheese. Pieces of any vegetables would also be appropriate: chopped tomatoes, sweet peppers and onions. If you prefer an option that is close to the classic version of an omelet, then you can simply limit yourself to freshly chopped greens.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Season the omelette mixture with salt. At this stage, you can also add other dried herbs or seasonings: ground hot pepper, paprika, garlic powder and others.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Mix all the ingredients directly with your hands, kneading the outside of the bag.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Tie the top of the bag with a strong knot.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Boil water in a saucepan. Place the bag directly into boiling water and simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Carefully remove the omelette bag and cool slightly. Then carefully cut the bag and serve.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

This omelet with milk boiled in water is perfect for a family breakfast; both adults and children will love it! Bon appetit!

Very interesting recipe, I’ve never cooked eggs in a bag. I decided to try making an omelet in a bag cooked in a saucepan. Everything turned out to be incredibly simple, and there was no need to dirty the dishes))) Breakfast in a hurry and without any problems - it’s ideal for everyone. I put a saucepan with water in advance. I broke the eggs into a bag, added salt, and poured milk. I used two bags, like the author, just in case) I mixed the future omelette right in the bag, this is a great idea! I put it in boiling water and cooked for exactly 20 minutes, as the author indicates. Until recently, I doubted that anything good would come of it, to be honest. She took out the bag, carefully cut it, waited a little, otherwise it was very hot. I put the omelette on a plate and voila! I spent 3 minutes preparing, which is good news))) But the result amazed me! The omelet turned out tender and light, very airy and incredibly tasty. This breakfast just melts in your mouth. I served the omelette with fresh herbs. Thanks a lot to the author!

This recipe for Omelet in a bag cooked in a pan is a lifesaver for travelers. It has a huge advantage - after cooking you don’t need to wash the dishes, which is very convenient when hiking or (as in my case) car travel. I made an eight egg omelette for four people. I added milk by eye, since there was nothing to measure with. Cooked until done (to be honest, I didn’t even pay attention to how much time had passed). It turned out tasty, satisfying and clean. Thanks a lot!

A very good recipe, the version with boiled omelette suits everyone - both adults and children! It is especially good for people on a medical diet - the omelet is not fried, as usual in recipes. Thanks for the recipe, Katyushka!
