    STEP 1

How to cook soup with oatmeal and chicken? Prepare your food. For soup, you can use any parts of chicken, for me these are legs, fillet is perfect - it will be even more dietary. Wash the vegetables well under running water, then dry and peel. It is better to take instant flakes, but not instant ones, but those with a cooking time of 5-7 minutes. It is better to sift the flakes to remove excess flour.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the chicken legs (or other parts) well. I also removed the skin from them, the soup will only be healthier. Place them in a suitable sized saucepan and cover with clean cold water.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Place the pan on the stove and turn the heat to low. Wait until it boils and skim off the foam with a slotted spoon. Add whole peeled onion and carrots to the soup. I don’t cut them on purpose - not everyone at home likes onions in soup, otherwise it will give off its flavor, but will not interfere. The same with carrots - everyone can add it to their taste. Leave the soup to simmer for 20-30 minutes, depending on the pieces of chicken.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

While the soup is cooking, cut the potatoes into medium cubes (or any other pieces). Once the time is up, remove the meat and vegetables from the soup. Throw the potatoes into it, add salt and boil the soup for 10 minutes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

At this time, cut the boiled carrots into slices.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Separate the meat from the bones and also cut into pieces.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

When the required time has passed, add meat, carrots (optional) and oatmeal to the soup. Stir and simmer the soup for another 5 minutes (or a little longer, depending on the cereal you choose). Leave the finished soup covered for 10 minutes. And then serve. You can add greens to your plates to taste. Bon appetit!

I made soup with oatmeal and chicken. For the broth I had a chicken leg. I have nothing against onions in soups, so I chopped onions and carrots and simmered them a little with butter. I took the finished chicken meat out of the broth, put diced potatoes in it, cooked until soft, then added oatmeal, chopped meat and vegetables to the soup. I cooked everything together for five minutes and left the finished soup covered for the same amount of time. The soup turned out to be tender, satisfying, tasty and of course very healthy. Thank you, katushafin!

I haven’t used oatmeal in soup yet; I was somehow skeptical about this option. But for a change, I cooked a small saucepan of this soup to try. And I was satisfied! It is so tender, so tasty! I cooked it in chicken broth and used instant flakes. The soup turned out to be light, but at the same time quite filling. It is perfectly digestible. You need to cook it in small portions at a time so that the soup does not turn into porridge. By the way, the advice about sifting the flakes is very correct. The soup remained clear and did not become cloudy. Thanks for the recipe!
