Minced meat with cheese in a frying pan
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make minced meat cutlets with cheese in a frying pan? Prepare your food. I have homemade minced pork/turkey with onions and garlic, if you just have meat, then you should add an onion and a clove of garlic to it, after chopping them. I use soft “Mozzarella” cheese, but some people make it with processed or hard cheese. Oatmeal for adding to the minced meat, you can use white bread, previously soaked in milk or cream.
STEP 2
Place the minced meat in a deep bowl, add oatmeal (instant cooking) or soaked white bread. This is added to ensure that the cutlets are juicy and soft. Next, add the egg, after breaking it, salt and pepper to taste. You can add your favorite spices.
STEP 3
Beat the egg into the minced meat, stirring evenly so that all ingredients are evenly distributed throughout it and there are no lumps. If you have time, you can put the minced meat in the refrigerator for a few minutes to cool it down. It will be easier to form cutlets from chilled minced meat.
STEP 4
Cut the selected cheese into rectangular plates. I always use Mozzarella for these cutlets, but you can choose any you like. After frying the cutlets, the mozzarella melts inside and then stretches very appetizingly. But here you need to remember that cutlets with cheese filling are best served hot; when cooled, the cheese becomes hard again.
STEP 5
To shape the cutlets, wet your hands in cold water, pinch off some minced meat and make a flat cake out of it. Then lay out a piece of cheese and wrap it with minced meat on all sides. Then give the cutlets an oval shape (like a pie). Do this with all the minced meat and cheese. You must try to ensure that the cheese is completely inside the minced meat and does not peek out anywhere, otherwise it may leak onto the frying pan and the appearance of the cutlets will be spoiled.
STEP 6
Then roll each cutlet in breadcrumbs. To do this, it is convenient to use a bowl with a small indentation. If breadcrumbs are not available, you can use any flour, semolina or the same oatmeal, pre-crushed
STEP 7
Heat a frying pan for frying cutlets and pour in vegetable oil, distributing it evenly over the entire area of the frying pan. Place the cutlets in a frying pan and fry over medium heat on each side until golden brown.
STEP 8
Serve hot minced meat cutlets stuffed with cheese. Pasta, rice, and potatoes are suitable as a side dish. If the cutlets have cooled down, they must be reheated before serving.
